Changed my Mind

After finishing "Chinatown" - I picked up a shaped canvas that I had started a few weeks ago and finished it. This one is of the Liars Club sign in downtown Des Moines.

I also met with a couple who want me to paint a special version of the old La Salle Street station in Chicago. Since I have to wait for a little warmer temps to stretch a new canvas for them. I sketched out the next painting and staying with the whole San Francisco thing that people seem to love. So I've decided to paint Fisherman's Wharf .

Chinatown

Just finished the painting that I started January 2nd - Hope to start the next one I believe it will be Crown Candy kitchen in St. Louis - Still haven't heard from the show that I applied to there yet.

So far I have been accepted at Spring Bloom in Bloomington IL and also the Old Capital Show in Springfield IL.

I would like to get a painting done for the Springfield show - maybe "Sapputos" I think that's how you spell it .

Starting the Year off Right

I've started a new canvas and have been diligently working on it to start off 2011 on the right note. I've done several paintings of San Francisco and they have all sold ... as I was talking to people this last show season ... you would think that I would paint more of them.


Heeding my own advice I've started "Chinatown" a rain-soaked scene of Grant and California - looking ahead to the next canvas ..... Fisherman's Wharf - with the F-Train stopped nearby.
